Garage Voice guys directed us to Seattle’s life changing greek food, which we ate and agreed. We then spent the rest of the afternoon in downtown to experience the city like real tourists.

January 24, 2010 - Haiti Will Rise! Event in SLO at Sally Loo's

Hey brothers & sisters.
You're seeing events & shows for the relief of Haiti everywhere. There are many. Despite all of these events going on all over the country and the world, the need in Haiti is still enormous. Fact of the matter is, long after the hype of assisting & donating to Haiti settles, the need will still be there. I want to support this cause and ask anyone to join. I also ask you to consider supporting future benefits for Haitian relief as I plan to. Things are tight here at home, but we still eat our food and sleep in our homes in comfort. The funds raised will be directly donated to medical doctors who are currently practicing medicine in the heart of Port Au Prince, Haiti. These doctors are a direct source, and virtually 100% of our funds will be put to immediate use where it is needed most.
If you live in the area, please join us at Sally Loo's on Friday January 29 in SLO. We're playing an acoustic set starting around 730pm.
For further information about the organization of 'Haiti Will Rise,' please visit monsterloveconspiracy.blogspot.com.

January 14, 2010 - There's a Briertone Show on Feb. 23

dear family.
you may be interested to hear that we’re throwing a briertone show at downtown brew on february 23, 2010. i suppose i should explain.
i’m doing a briertone show because i miss it and thought it would a lot of fun.
throughout the past years of writing songs for briertone, i hid away my acoustic folk & alt-country songs i was writing and kind of suppressed the love i had for that music. i still wrote the acoustic songs but felt that they were not fitting for briertone. a couple years ago i really felt the need to record and release them, along with several new ones that i had written. i knew followers of briertone had certain expectations for the songs we performed & released, i couldn’t justify releasing an alt country - major key album under that name. after a while of searching for a separate band name to release my alt-country songs under, i used my name. down the road i find myself somewhere in the middle of those two worlds. heavy guitars in minor keys with a message to scream, and acoustic guitars with pedal steel in major keys. a close friend of mine once told me that the intensity and conviction of briertone’s delivery was something unique, and that i should never let it go. i still think about that as i continue on in my music.
i love the collective effort that is our music. i love banjo, pedal steel, upright bass, the harmonies, and brushes on a snare. i also miss pounding on jenky electric guitars, bleeding on pickups, and screaming God’s power over people. if there’s a medium between the two, i hope to find it. as for now, in the middle of an acoustic, two-piece tour this winter, i’m throwing a briertone show in san luis obispo when we roll through town. it’s not briertone back to life and it’s not a lame briertone reunion. it is what it is; i’m excited for it.
we’re stoked to share the stage with our tour mates “Garage Voice’ of seattle and local friends in ‘The Honeytrees.’ Our downtown brew shows are always affordable. save yourself a couple bucks and go to BooBoo records. get your ticket in advance for $6 instead of $8 at the door. $6 is cheap.
i don’t know brothers & sisters what the future holds. we’ll just keep writing the songs & release them as we see fit i suppose. if they’re heavy they might be called briertone. if they’re not, then they might be released under my name.
love & peace.

January 5, 2010 - Recording at the Log Cabin
Brandon, Elijah & I had the opportunity to record at an incredible log cabin out in the countryside. It's owned by Emily's grandparents. We've managed to get some recording equipment together that's very portable. If we find a cool spot, we're able to be set up in less than an hour. During this session tracked banjo & guitar for the next EP.

and ended our day firing at clay pigeons

December 16, 2009 - Tour/Recording/Photos

Brothers & Sisters.
Thought I’d let you know what’s going on in our world.
Recently the fellows in Garage Voice stopped in San Luis Obispo while touring back to Seattle. I came over and opened for them with an acoustic guitar. That night we decided that we'd book a tour together as we've played with the idea for a couple years now. I gave them my glockenspiel as a promise that we'd certainly go through with it and that they could return it to me when we met up. with that said..
TOUR NEWS
We’ll take off in early February for a month. We’ll be covering the western US. It’ll be a great pleasure to perform alongside these excellent musicians and all around great dudes. Tour starts in Washington and will continue south. You can hear their music by visiting their myspace and find more about them on their site.
As for our set on tour - it'll be mostly acoustic performances. we'll do some full band shows while closer to home during the CA portion on the tour.
RECORDING
We are blessed to have been given access to a vacant spot in San Luis Obispo, CA. that friends of ours have transformed into a recording studio. We have full access to record and rehearse almost any time of the day - seven days a week.
We’ve completed some new recordings and are planning to do a release in the near future. We’re way stoked on the new songs. Can’t wait for you to hear them.
BEN BLOOD PHOTOGRAPHY
The above photos were taken by Ben. He's a wonderfully gifted Seattle based photographer that was traveling with Garage Voice when they toured through San Luis Obispo. View his collection of images by checking out his site and his blog. You'll love them.
Have an incredible Christmas folks. We will !
November 06, 2009 - Last Minute Show in San Luis
Hey guys. Our friends Garage Voice from Seattle are touring through SLO this Sunday. I'll be opening for them with an acoustic guitar. Come on out. Check the performances section for detais. be well friends.
July 11, 2009 - San Luis Music & San Luis People
Brothers & Sisters.
We’ve confirmed a headline show at Downtown Brew in downtown San Luis Obispo. It’ll be on Friday July 31 with honored guests Ryan Delmore and the Pat Little Band.
We’ll be performing a very fun and dynamic set. Expect new songs, as we’re writing for our new album. View our performances section for the details.
June 26, 2009 - no place like home
happy summer folks.
summer over here in pismo beach often means fog, lots and lots of fog. truly i look forward to the novembers on the central coast. the weathers much nicer then.
we’ve all been spending quite a bit more time at home lately. we’ve been keeping busy writing and practicing. and elijah’s out harvesting wheat on the family farm till mid july, like a real cowboy. when a band’s upcoming shows section on myspace is bare, people are always wondering if they called it quits. no, i assure you that’s not the case.
WRITING/RECORDING
so we’re writing for the new record..... and it’s in it’s baby stages. we’ve got enough songs in the works for another full length. i’ll put no estimated release date on it because i truly don’t know when that’ll be. we’re currently writing and practicing in orange county and san luis obispo. we expect to begin recording in the near future. one thing i think you can expect from the record is somewhat of a merger of our music now with the heaviness or intensity that briertone had. a longtime friend of mine told me to never let that element of my music go. we went from jumping around the stage and splitting my face open (at least i did once) in briertone, to performing on stools with glasses wine. for this record, i’d like to fuse what we had and what we have, and maybe find a place in the middle.
LOCAL SHOWS.
we’ll be performing a short set at downtown brew in san luis on thursday july 2nd. we’re second on that bill. we’re playing a heavy set that night. dusting off the electric guitars!!
we’re excited for that. the show isall ages. click on the performances section for details.
alright brothers and sisters, peace & love.

March 25, 2009 - on the road again
wonderful people.
i hope this message finds you well.
we are blessed and rested. ready to continue the work that has been laid out before us; to write and perform songs that we pray will speak truth, encourage, and awaken those who have ears to hear. we plan to keep busy over the next several months, to play out as much as possible, and to reunite with you.
here’s an update:
we’re rehearsing for several shows in april and may. we’ll be performing in california, utah, nevada, and colorado over the next couple of weeks. our sets will consist of songs from O Hear The Rattling, Briertone, as well as songs recently written. be sure to check our performances page to see if we’ll be performing near you.
we’re proud to announce that our brother elijah merritt has joined the group as banjo player. he has been performing with the band and writing with us over the past several months. in a place of need, God is faithful. we rejoice in His provision. He is the reason for which we sing.
brothers & sisters until we meet again - peace.love.joy
Jan. 8, 2009 - I Am Nuclear Man
I wanted to give you an update on the months to come. We’ll be out of commission January through March. I’m starting a temporary 3 month job that has really extensive hours. It also involves wearing a suit that prevents me from getting radioactive contamination. Emily and I worked the same job last year, which was the reason for the delay of our albums release. But it’s a good gig and it allows me to work a ton in a short period of time, enabling me to tour and perform for the rest of the year. We’ve already begun booking a tour for early April! Looks like we’ll be in california, nevada, utah, and colorado. when we return we’ll continue to jump all over caifornia for weekend shows. can’t wait to hug you guys again.
In other news....
we’ve been blessed to have banjo player, Elijah Merritt join us as well as drummer Mark Folkrod in recent shows. After a drastic change from heavy southern rock & briertone to a more intimate alt-country and folk sound, our music continues to evolve as we welcome in new musicians to write and perform with us.
God provides exceedingly and abundantly more than what we expect or hope for.
Stay in touch my friends. I look forward to seeing you again soon.
And by the way, I’ll give no timeline or projected length, but we are writing for the next record.
love & peace.

Dec. 16, 2008 - Our Family, Something Sacred.
Brothers & Sisters.
'O Hear The Rattling' is now available for $10.00 only at SomethingSacred.com. Something Sacred is a family of artists and musicians. We’ve always taken pride in being a part of their movement to further eclectic art and music that has purpose. We share in our efforts to give the world quality art and music with the intent to use it to have a positive impact on lives. We’ve always stood behind Something Sacred, as they've always stood behind us.
Our plan is to work together closely, as did Briertone and Something Sacred. Eventually the Something Sacred team would like to create an online store of Adam Pasion music and apparel. We've also spoken of recording and releasing tracks that are exclusive to the Something Sacred site. For now, you can pick up our album as well as the Briertone EP's at their homepage.
We want to encourage everyone to visit SomethingSacred.com. If Something Sacred is not new to you, there are new developments within the collective. Check out the designs and new artists that have joined the family. Something Sacred is also home to a store of some really cool and rustic apparel. we love it.
It’s great to be a part of the family.

Nov. 28, 2008 - home from a perfect tour
hey all.
tour.
we've safely returned home from our western tour before the storm clouds and the rain. our trooper of a van hit the 250,000 mile mark and is still pushing ahead. this shorter trip was a reminder of how much we love the road and miss the friendships we've made these past years. we have every intention to return soon, and to stay out for longer.
thank you for your open ears and receptive hearts. in our efforts to make an impact with our music, we were blessed and encouraged by you all tenfold. and thank you for the home cooking, couches to sleep on, the showers, and good company. we are so rich in the Lord. the blessings that we have in our listeners could never be counted or measured. they are much more valuable than riches.
we captured parts of the tour with polaroids. i've scanned them in and put them in our myspace photos.
Our intention is to head out again in spring. until then, we'll play consistently in california.
some unfortunate news.
we arrived in san luis obispo at about 5am on sunday morning. brandon got some sleep and took off later that day to head to his house in orange county. while in stuck in traffic on the 405, a truck slammed into brandons stopped car. it totaled his vehicle and destroyed most of his instruments that were packed tightly in his trunk and back seat. most importantly, our brother brandon is live and well. God is good. check out the photos.
be in touch soon. love, peace & joy.

Oct. 29, 2008
Hello Brothers & Sisters.
Thank you for picking up the new record. I hope the songs have spoken to you all. we had an excellent time reconnecting with you all during these past shows. thanks for the love.
TOUR!!
We leave on a short acoustic tour of the west on November 11. We'll be playing dates in California, Nevada, and Utah. Check the performances section on our site and come on out. Doing an acoustic tour gives us the opportunity to play more intimate setting shows, and place an emphasis on the new acoustic songs off the record. We're really excited to get on the road again even if it's just for a short while.
IN OTHER NEWS:
We're making a video for one of the new songs on the record. We'll be working with Patrick Lawler from Santa Barbara. We are so blessed by this brother. His work is great. We'll keep you all posted as we start the process in early December.
See you soon friends.
Cheers,
Adam
